Orthopaedic Triage Nurse

(DMOS) is seeking a Triage Nurse to assist patients via phone with concerns related to their orthopaedic journey, specifically in intake and procedural follow‑up care. After on‑site training, this full‑time hybrid position allows you to work from home 4 days a week and one day in the office. You’ll support providers and patient care primarily through phone conversations with patients and physician care teams. The office day provides opportunity to build working relationships with providers and their care teams. Responsibilities Provide clinical advice to patients regarding orthopedic care received in office or during a procedure. Serve as part of a subspecialized triage team, supporting each other as needed. Work remotely from a HIPAA‑compliant space at home 4 days a week; work one day in office with provided equipment. Deliver timely responses to patient questions and documentation in the EHR. Communicate effectively with physicians and physician assistants via electronic medical record system, secure messenger, and phone. What We’re Looking For Ability to prioritize and shift gears quickly to handle patient concerns related to pre‑ and post‑procedure care in a timely manner. Experience in an orthopaedic clinic or urgent‑care setting with successful telephonic triage in a busy clinic. Strong listening and communication skills, including active listening and asking clarifying questions. Active RN or LPN license, or CMA Certification in good standing.
