Production Planning & Scheduling Manager
Dickson City, PA

A well established manufacturing company in Lackawanna County is seeking a Production Planning & Scheduling Manager to develop and maintain production schedules at their manufacturing facility and help ensure efficient workflow and on-time customer delivery.

This role works closely with leaders across the company including Operations, Sales, and Engineering departments to balance production capacity, customer priorities, and available resources.

The ideal candidate is highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable working with ERP systems within a industrial manufacturing site.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain production schedules within an ERP system.
• Monitor and maintain accuracy of production and scheduling data.
• Coordinate with Operations and other departments to optimize production flow and resource utilization.
• Communicate production priorities, order status, and expected delivery timelines.
• Evaluate opportunities to expedite orders and adjust schedules when necessary.
• Track production lead times and on-time delivery performance.
• Identify production bottlenecks and recommend scheduling or resource adjustments.
• Analyze manufacturing data to support scheduling and operational decisions.
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives related to production planning and workflow.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required
• 4+ years of production scheduling experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience working with ERP-based production scheduling systems.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Power BI, Tableau, or other analytics reporting tools
• Manufacturing or metal fabrication experience is highly preferred.
