Senior Business Analyst Accounting

The Senior Business Analyst Accounting is a key contributor responsible for monitoring source systems and related processes within accounting, including VPP Insurance, Lockbox, Cash Control, and Dealer Products. This role exists to ensure the accurate processing, validation, and reconciliation of financial and commercial transactions across internal and external counterparties, directly impacting the efficiency and accuracy of TFS's financial operations. The analyst collaborates with Product Accounting, source system partners, and external vendors to implement system configurations, support process improvements, and drive enterprise-level projects related to core accounting applications.

Essential Job Functions / Accountabilities:

1. Administer and monitor source systems including new entity setup, accounting module configuration, and execution of month-end close processes. (35%)
2. Collaborate with business partners such as Product Accounting, VPP Insurance, GAP, VSA, EWU, TW, and Key Replacement to provide solutions for accounting and earnings calculations, leveraging source systems or custom applications. (20%)
3. Maintain documentation for configuration, testing, and approvals as part of the department's internal control structure. (15%)
4. Investigate and resolve application defects related to transaction processing, cash settlements, and accounting operations within HOST, IODS, and SGI systems. (20%)

Required Skills / Qualifications:

• Strong understanding of accounting principles, financial transactions, and earnings calculations.
• Experience with Insurance, Cash Control, Lockbox, Dealer Products, and source system operations.
• Proficiency in system analysis, testing, reconciliation, and defect resolution.
• Knowledge of Scrum and Agile methodologies for project delivery.
