Position Details:

RN Med/Surg/Tele -Float Pool-ClevelandOH
Location :Cleveland,OH

Payrange :$49-$51anhour
Project Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Night shift 7:00pm-7:00am; 36 hours per week; Every other weekend and holiday rotation required

Job description:
The Registered Nurse (RN) in the Medical-Surgical/Telemetry Float Pool provides comprehensive nursing care to adult patients across multiple medical-surgical and telemetry units. This role requires the ability to adapt quickly to varying patient populations, collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams, and deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced environment.



Key Responsibilities:

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide direct nursing care to patients with a variety of medical and surgical conditions.
• Monitor and interpret telemetry data and respond appropriately to changes in patient status.
• Administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with physician orders and organizational policies.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and document findings accurately and timely.
• Collaborate with physicians, advanced practice providers, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate care.
• Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge instructions.
• Recognize and respond to emergency situations using established protocols.
• Maintain compliance with infection prevention, patient safety, and quality improvement standards.
• Float to designated medical-surgical and telemetry units as needed based on patient care demands.

Required Qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing.
• Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the applicable state.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association (AHA).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Minimum of one year of recent Medical-Surgical and/or Telemetry nursing experience.
• Previous float pool experience preferred.
• Experience caring for diverse patient populations in an acute care setting.
• Required Certifications/Licenses
• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
