Director, Fund Accounting What You’ll Do: Lead Client Relationships: Manage multiple fund relationships, ensuring timely deliverables and exceptional client service. Provide Expert Guidance: Use your deep knowledge of alternative investments (especially private equity) to exceed client expectations and maintain top‑notch accounting practices. Develop and Inspire Your Team: Create career development plans, provide feedback, and lead by example to foster growth and excellence. Drive Business Growth: Participate in new business discussions with both prospects and existing clients to drive success and expansion. Ensure Operational Excellence: Review key fund documents, oversee transaction processes, and ensure accuracy in financial statements, fees, and distributions. Champion the Audit Process: Lead the year‑end audit process, collaborating with clients and auditors to ensure smooth, accurate results. What You’ll Bring: Experience & Expertise: Bachelor’s in Accounting (or related field) and 10+ years in accounting, with a focus on alternative investments. Private equity experience is a plus. Leadership Skills: 5+ years managing teams, with a hands‑on approach to development, feedback, and decision‑making. Project Management: Strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Communication & Tech Savvy: Excellent interpersonal skills and advanced proficiency in Excel.
