Job Summ aryOur client is a cultural and philanthropic organization reimagining how data, software, and systems can provide visitors with a seamless and welcoming experien ce. The Technical Project Manager will lead large and complex technical projects from initial concept through final implementation. The initial portfolio will focus on parking systems, related security technology projects, and video incident detection (VID). Parking initiatives include hardware modernization, prepayment capabilities, and technology designed to expedite visitor entry and exit. The security portfolio includes projects involving video surveillance and VID. The Technical Project Manager will coordinate technical specialists, construction and facilities partners, vendors, internal subject-matter experts, and executive stakehol ders. Security domain expertise is helpful but not required because the organization has an internal security subject-matter expert. However, the successful candidate must have sufficient technical understanding to manage the work, ask appropriate questions, coordinate dependencies, and communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders. Construction knowledge is required for this port folio. Major Job Responsib ilitiesPerform the full range of project management duties, including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring and controlling, and closing pr ojects.Lead parking technology initiatives involving hardware modernization, prepayment, and entry and exit improv ements.Manage related security technology and video incident detection pr ojects.Direct highly integrated projects involving multiple technical and business disciplines with little to no super vision.Coordinate work among technical specialists, software engineers, system administrators, security subject-matter experts, construction or facilities teams, vendors, and business stakeh olders.Manage multiple simultaneous projects with complex interdepend encies.Track, coordinate, plan, and report on technical work across multiple teams and organiz ations.Collaborate with project managers within and outside the organi zation.Facilitate discussions and negotiations to build consensus and drive recommend ations.Develop and implement project management and communication plans and pro cesses.Communicate with partners and team members throughout all phases of project de livery.Maintain project documentation, schedules, budget estimates, and status r eports.Monitor project expenses and ensure adherence to approved b udgets.Address cost overruns and other budgetary issues pr omptly.Develop and implement change-management and communication strategies to support project s uccess.Identify potential project risks and develop appropriate mitigation stra tegies.Address unexpected issues through effective problem-solving and escalation proc edures.Manage contracts and vendor relatio nships.Prepare post-project reports, including lessons learned and recommendations for future pr ojects.Regularly prepare presentations and present project information to internal and external aud iences.Engage effectively with executive-level stakeholders across multiple organizational units.
