Inventory and Accounting Coordinator

Summary

The Inventory and Accounting Coordinator: supports the accounting and reporting functions under the accounting manager. This position reports directly to the accounting manager. This position may require occasional however infrequent travel to other office locations as well as third party co-packer cold storage locations.

Principal and Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Research warehouse production lots and appropriately attach production lots to sales orders based on shipment and bill of lading (BOL)
• Analyze and reports variances on monthly inventory reconciliation of third party cold storge facilities as well as reviews and approves.
• Track both raw material and further processed lots in inventory. This includes the tracking of material throughout the process for further processing. Ensure that standard yields are met.
• Calculate product costs for each production run. Product costs are calculated for all fresh and further will be to serve as a back-up for production processing for purposes of maintaining timeless and cross-training.
• Processes and analyzes accounts and receivables past due balances are maintained within corporate standards.

Minimum Education

Associate's degree in accounting or related discipline.

Experience Requirements

Associate's degree in accounting plus 1-2 years work experience or in the absence of an associate degree, total experience equals 5 years. Requires strong analytical skills as well as strong skills in reconciliations of inventory and variance analysis, reading, communication, math, writing. Pivot tables, formulas, and other office software.

Experience Preferred

1-2 years independent decision is often required. Individual must be able to work with minimum supervision.

Environmental Factors and Physical Requirements

Position is mostly sedentary but may require occasional moving to other offices or buildings.

May need to move light equipment or supplies from one place to another.

May need to access files, supplies, and equipment.

Work activity is in office open-partitioned cubicle environment.
