What you'll do:Review and analyze initial claim reports to determine compensability and identify potential fraud indicators.Manage complex workers’ compensation and general liability claims, focusing on litigation and high-risk cases.Collaborate with leadership and legal counsel to establish claim value, strategy, and resolution paths.Oversee outside counsel to monitor litigation progress and ensure timely resolution.Prepare and present claims in reviews to refine strategy and secure settlement authority.Authorize payments and coordinate medical treatments in compliance with regulations.Negotiate claim settlements and maintain accurate documentation and reporting.Mentor associates on claims handling and litigation processes.What you'll bring:Extensive experience in litigation management and claims resolution within workers’ compensation or general liability contexts.Proven ability to review and analyze claim reports, identify compensability, and escalate potential fraud indicators appropriately.Strong negotiation skills to resolve claims directly with associates, customers, or legal representatives.Proficiency in managing outside counsel and collaborating with internal legal teams to align on strategy and settlement.Knowledge of regulatory requirements, jurisdictional statutes, and claims processing best practices.Ability to mentor and train associates on complex claims and litigation procedures.Commitment to ethical standards, compliance, and accurate documentation.
