Restaurant Address: Ted's Cafe Escondido - Edmond, 801, East Danforth Road, Edmond, OK 73034 Job Summary: The dishwasher position is a very important part of the overall service team here at TCE. Our dishes must reach our guest(s) meeting these same standards: clean, dry, without any chips and/or cracks, and free of cheese sauce. You will be responsible for ensuring every item that leaves the dish area meets these conditions. Use teamwork and communicate will other co-workers to achieve this goal. Our highest priority is to exceed our guests’ expectations throughout their entire visit, insuring a return visit. Responsibilities Be punctual and in full uniform for each shift Follow all guidelines, policies, and procedures of Ted’s Café Escondido Restaurants’ Ensure that all health and sanitation guidelines are followed at all times Have a positive attitude at all times Make sure rinse aid is working & full Make sure sanitizer is working & full Make sure soap dispenser is working & full Make sure to use assure chemical in all silverware bus tubs. The wash tank must be at 150º, the wash #2 must be at 160º, and the rinse needs to reach at least 180º; then you can start running dishes through Run 2 or 3 empty trays through the washer before running any dishes through the washer Make a bucket of sanitizer to dip your hands in (throughout the entire shift) Make sure to always spray and scrub the dishes before running them through the washer Make sure all silverware is ran through the washer 3 times, 1 st time on a flat rack, 2 nd time handles down in a silverware rack, and the 3 rd time handles up on a silverware rack All plates need to be stacked without any water on them All pots and pans need to be placed upside down to prevent water accumulation Drain water in the Dish Machine every 45 to 60 minutes, throughout the entire shift. Comply with all federal, state, and local regulations for your department Treat all staff members and guests with respect Contribute to a positive working environment Maintain confidentiality with all company information Ensure that you are knowledgeable of your specific responsibilities in the event of an emergency Work Conditions Subject to potentially upset staff Involved with staff under all conditions and circumstances Varied working hours may include weekends, holidays, late evenings, and early mornings as needed Must be able to stand and/or walk 8+ hours daily Must be able to lift 25 lbs. frequently, 50 lbs. occasionally, and more than 50 lbs. rarely Frequent bending, reaching, grasping, and climbing Occasional squatting, kneeling, crawling, and fine manipulation Minimum Qualifications Previous dishwashing experience in a high volume restaurant is preferred. Specific Requirements Must possess interpersonal relations skills. Professional in attitude, demeanor, and dress.
