• Generates revenue by soliciting and obtaining orders, understanding and interpreting technical requirements, providing technical information, and developing accounts.
• Develops sales opportunities by researching and identifying potential accounts, soliciting new accounts, building rapport, providing technical information and explanations, and preparing quotations.
• Services existing accounts, obtains orders and establishes new accounts by planning and organizing daily work schedule to call on local existing or potential sales accounts.
• Resolves customer complaints by investigating problems, developing solutions, preparing reports and making recommendations to management.
• Submits orders by referring to price lists and product literature.
• Maintains price lists and customer information in current system.
• Fills orders by transferring orders and communicating with fulfillment, communicating expected delivery date, and explaining stock-outs.
• Develops accounts by checking customer’s buying history, suggesting related and new items, and explaining technical features.
• Make cold calls or perform warm outreach.
• Maintains and improves quality results by following standards and recommending improved products or processes.
• Updates job knowledge by studying new product descriptions and participating in educational opportunities.
• Provides historical records by maintaining records on area and customer sales.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Accomplishes department and organization goals by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests.
• Explores opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.
• Other duties as assigned
