Job Title: Chemical Operator Job Description

The Chemical Operator will follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and batch instructions for chemical reactions. This role involves assisting Production Chemists and Leads in preparing, running, and monitoring chemical reactions for high-purity organometallic compounds. Key tasks include preparing raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, handling chemicals properly, and monitoring process indicators to ensure the correct performance of chemical reactions. Additionally, the Chemical Operator will clean and sanitize work areas and document necessary information such as sanitation logs and batch records.

• Follow SOPs and batch instructions for chemical reactions.
• Assist Production Chemists and Leads in preparing, running, and monitoring chemical reactions.
• Prepare raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Handle chemicals and raw materials properly.
• Monitor process indicators to ensure correct chemical reaction performance.
• Clean and sanitize work areas, canisters/vessels, and lab areas.
• Document sanitation logs, batch records, and other quality and production information.

• Experience in chemical manufacturing or a similar regulated environment.
• Ability to prepare raw materials and monitor reactions using computer systems.
• Attention to detail in handling high-purity chemicals.
• Experience with mixing, compounding, blending, and batch making.

• Experience in food manufacturing, pharmaceutical, or chemical mixing environments is beneficial.
• Knowledge of chemical compounding, chemical manufacturing, and chemical reactions.

The work environment is a chemical manufacturing setting, collaborating with two to three others in each production area, including a Lead Production Chemist and other Production Chemists. The job operates on the 1st shift, Monday through Friday, from 6:00 am to 2:30 pm, with potential for overtime, working 40 to 45 hours per week. Specific personal protective equipment (PPE) is required when handling certain chemicals.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Sheboygan Falls, WI.

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $27.50/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.

This is a fully onsite position in Sheboygan Falls,WI.
