Job Description A full-timeHome Health Aide (HHA)orCertified Nursing Assistant (CNA)provides consistent daily, in-home personal care and companionship to patients, typically working 36-40 hours per week. They assist with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, and mobility, while also managing light housekeeping, medication reminders, and vital signs monitoring under nursing supervision. Key Responsibilities Personal Care (ADLs): Assisting with bathing, grooming, dressing, toileting, and feeding. Mobility & Safety: Helping patients transfer (bed/chair), walking, repositioning, and preventing falls. Health Monitoring: Measuring and recording vital signs (temperature, pulse, respiration) and reporting changes in condition to supervisors. Household Support: Performing light housekeeping (laundry, dishwashing), grocery shopping, and meal preparation. Medication Management: Reminding patients to take medications. Companionship & Transport: Engaging in activities and accompanying clients to appointments. Job Requirements Certification: HHA or CNA license/certification preferred, with some employers requiring specific state-approved training. Experience: Often 2+ years of in-home care experience is required, particularly for specialized or high-acuity cases. Skills: Strong communication skills, compassionate demeanor, and ability to follow care plans. Logistics: Valid driver's license and dependable vehicle for travel to client homes. Full-Time Structure Hours: Regular 36-40 hour weeks, often requiring flexibility for day, night, or weekend shifts.
