Additionally, there may be occasions where you will be required to travel outside your assigned area to assist in other territories.Hours of operation are continually evaluated and may change based on business need. Successful candidatesare able and willing to work flexible schedules and may be asked to work overtime and/or irregular hours.QualificationsCompetitive candidates must demonstrate:Ability to investigate problems, evaluate information, and make well-supported decisionsAbility to interpret detailed policies, guidelines, or technical information and apply them accurately to real-world situationsAbility to quickly learn unfamiliar concepts, processes, and terminology and apply that knowledge accurately in practical situationsAbility to effectively interact with policyholders, agents, and other stakeholders to move claims forward efficientlyEffective communication and interpersonal skills to handle difficult/emotional conversations with a customer-minded focusDetail-oriented with strong organizational and analytical skillsProficiency in using mobile/desktop tools to document and support claims both in the field and remotelyPhysical agility to allow for: walking; bending, reaching, kneeling, squatting, stooping, frequent lifting, carrying, unfolding, and climbing a ladder; ability to utilizing appropriate equipment in accordance with safety guidelines to traverse roofs at various heights and pitches for inspection of both residential and commercial structures; ability to crawl in tight spaces to gather information needed during the adjustment of a claim.May be required to complete Rope and Harness Safety TrainingA valid driver's license is requiredPreferred:Bachelor's Degree in a related field such as Risk Management, Insurance, Business, Construction Management or a similar disciplineCustomer service experience (e.g., assisting customers, handling inquiries/concerns professionally, communicating clearly and empathetically), demonstrating transferable skills that support client interactions in a Claims environmentUnderstanding of property insurance concepts, including coverage fundamentals and general claim handling practicesBaseline knowledge of residential and commercial building construction and building components/materialsFamiliarity with water mitigation principles and inspection processesWorking knowledge of Xactimate and XactContentsAdditional Details:Employees must successfully complete all required training, including applicable proficiency, licensing exam(s), Motor Vehicle Recrd (MVR) checks, and background checks required of various state(s).State Farm recently implemented new pre-employment assessments.
