The Junior Interior Designer supports the planning and design of innovative workplace markets and food service environments that enhance the customer experience while supporting operational efficiency. This role combines technical drafting expertise with creative interior design, producing accurate design development documents, 3D renderings, and presentation materials for new installations and remodels. Working closely with the Construction and Design Director and team members, the Junior Interior Designer will develop design solutions that align with Continental's brand standards while gaining experience in commercial retail and foodservice design. This position is ideal for an early-career designer looking to build technical expertise while contributing creatively to real-world projects.

Essential responsibilities include interior design and space planning, CAD design and documentation, and design support.

Ingredients for thriving include a bachelor's degree in interior design from an accredited program, 2+ years of experience in design or space planning, proven ability to manage multiple projects, strong understanding of drafting standards, excellent communication skills, working knowledge of space planning principles, proficiency in AutoCAD, Sketchup, Microsoft Office Suite, and experience in Enscape, Smartsheets, and ArcSite.

Location and logistics include prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer, a full-time position location in Troy, Michigan, a hybrid schedule with 4 days required in office and 1 day remote, and occasional travel within Continental's footprint.
