Physical Therapist AssistantThis position is full-time, school year, and is currently located at the DIISD Administration Building with services provided in both Dickinson and Iron Counties. Starting wage based on experience for placement on the established pay grid. Full benefits package available including dental and vision insurance fully paid by the district. This posting will remain open until filled.Report To: Director of Special EducationLength of Contract: Contracted School YearEmployment Status: Non-Union, ExemptQualifications:Possess a certificate from a nationally accredited program as a certified physical therapist assistant.Driving may be necessary for this position which would require a valid driver's license.General Description: The role of the physical therapist assistant is to provide quality individualized physical therapy as assigned to students under the direction and supervision of the physical therapist. They will work cooperatively and effectively with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to assist in implementing the student's individualized education program.Essential Functions:Provide direct physical therapy as directed and supervised by the Physical Therapist.Assist in the development of therapy schedules and treatment plans as directed by the physical therapist.Maintain all necessary documentation, logs, etc. as requested.Participate as an IEP team member as requested.Complete required written reports and billings in a timely fashion.Must have regular and reliable attendance.Other similar duties as assigned.Other Duties and Responsibilities:Serve as a positive role model for DIISD constituents demonstrating how to be a responsible citizen and productive member of society.Adhere to DIISD Code of Ethics.Ability to carry out other associated duties as assigned by administration.Additional Working Conditions:Occasional exposure to blood, bodily fluid and tissue.With reimbursement, may be required to use personal vehicle to perform job related functions.
