Qualifications & Experience

• Valid Texas Special Education Certification appropriate to the assigned grade levels
• Generalist or Content Area Certification for grades K-5
• Experience working with elementary-aged students, preferably in resource or inclusion settings
• Strong classroom management and differentiated instruction skills
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver specialized instruction to a diverse caseload of elementary students
• Provide both push in and pull out resource services, adapting to different needs and settings
• Develop and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
• Work alongside general education teachers and paraprofessionals as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Foster a supportive, inclusive learning atmosphere
• Track progress, maintain documentation, and regularly communicate with families
