Senior Maintenance Mechanic / Plc Technician

An established food manufacturer is seeking an experienced Senior Maintenance Mechanic / Plc Technician to support a high-volume production operation.

This is an ideal opportunity for a maintenance professional who enjoys solving difficult mechanical and electrical problems and working with a diverse equipment environment. The facility utilizes everything from modern automation to specialized legacy European machinery.

Responsibilities:

• Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain production and packaging equipment
• Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and Plc-related equipment failures
• Troubleshoot Plcs, sensors, photo eyes, Vfds, relays, motor starters, and control circuits
• Maintain motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
• Perform preventive and predictive maintenance
• Support equipment changeovers and machine setup
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings
• Troubleshoot both newer automated systems and legacy manufacturing equipment
• Coordinate with production and engineering to minimize downtime
• Maintain accurate maintenance and spare-parts records
• Follow Gmp, food safety, OSHA, and company safety requirements

Ideal Candidate:

The ideal candidate brings industrial maintenance experience from food, beverage, confectionery, pharmaceutical, or CPG manufacturing with strong mechanical troubleshooting abilities and working knowledge of Plc-controlled equipment.

Experience with Allen-Bradley or Siemens Plcs, 480V electrical systems, packaging equipment, high-speed machinery, servo systems, or European OEM equipment is particularly valuable.
