Job Summary The Occupational Therapist (OT) is responsible for assessing, planning, organizing, developing treatment plans and direct activity programs, in accordance with current applicable federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations, to assure the highest degree of quality care can be maintained at all times. The OT provides therapy according to the treatment plan and documents and monitors progress and adjusts therapy, as required. The OT will provide support and therapeutic services to students with diverse needs within the general education classroom as prescribed by Wraparound Experts and the principal of the school. This role is essential in helping our students achieve their maximum potential in academic, social, and daily living activities. Essential components of this position are listed below; however, these are not exhaustive and subject to change at the discretion of Wraparound Experts. Qualifications Master’s Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited university, required Valid license to practice Occupational Therapy in the State of Ohio, required Valid current certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT), required Current Ohio Department of Education certification, preferred Pass and maintain clear BCI and FBI background checks, required. Valid driver’s license, required. Experience with Individual Education Plans (IEPs), Evaluation Team Report (ETRs), preferred Strong relationship building, communication (verbal and written), and presentation skills with school/campus staff, parents, and internal/external stakeholders Strong interpersonal relationship skills including cultural sensitivity & competence Analytical ability to conduct complex fact-finding investigations and develop plans of action to address a variety of issues and concerns in a timely manner Ability to preserve the confidentiality of student information and records Ability to read, analyze and interpret assessment results and use the results to develop treatment/intervention plans and classroom strategies that are appropriate to the educational goals of the student (and within the student’s least restrictive environment) Responsibilities Conducts initial evaluations and re-evaluations Participates in school building IEP/Intervention teams Designs individualized treatment plans and materials to match the student’s unique learning profile Provides therapy according #J-18808-Ljbffr Wraparound Experts
