Accounting Manager

Our client is currently seeking an in-house detail-oriented and organized Accountant to manage financial records, prepare reports, and ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulatory requirements. The ideal candidate will support the organization's financial health by maintaining accurate financial data, analyzing transactions, and assisting with tax preparation and financial planning.

Key Responsibilities:
Prepare and maintain accurate financial records and reports.
Record, classify, and reconcile financial transactions.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and general ledger accounts.
Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable, as needed.
Process payroll and maintain payroll records, as needed.
Assist with forecasting and financial analysis.
Prepare journal entries and maintain the general ledger.
Assist with tax preparation and coordinate with tax professionals during filing season.
Support external audits by providing requested documentation.
Monitor cash flow and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements.
Maintain confidentiality of financial information and company records.
Perform other accounting and administrative duties as assigned.

Qualifications:
Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting. Proficiency in accounting software (such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar systems).Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite. Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines. Ability to work efficiently during peak tax season - extensive hours, including weekends and evenings during tax season.
