Job Summary and Qualifications As a Med‑Surg Registered Nurse at HCA Houston Healthcare Clear Lake, you’ll have all the staffing support, technology, and resources you need to deliver safe, high‑quality care—so you can focus on what you do best. What you will do in this role Coordinate the nursing care of assigned patients in the unit and provide quality patient care. Apply knowledge and skills necessary to deliver care based on physical, psychological, educational, safety, and related criteria for the appropriate age populations. Provide professional nursing care exercising independent judgment in utilizing the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate. Provide leadership by working cooperatively with ancillary nursing and other patient‑care team personnel in maintaining standards for professional nursing practice in the clinical setting. What qualifications you will need Graduated from an accredited school of nursing with an Associate's or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) is preferred. Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi‑State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License must obtain a Texas RN License within 60 days of hire date). American Heart Association BLS Certification is required. One year of clinical Med‑Surg experience as a licensed RN in an acute care setting.
