Senior Financial Analyst

Senior Fpa AnalystThe Senior FP&A Analyst will be a member of the Operations Finance team at Propelis headquarters in Louisville, KY, reporting to the VP of Finance. The position requires knowledge of both Finance and Accounting principles, experience with advanced financial modeling and analysis techniques, understanding of budgeting and forecasting processes, and familiarity with acquisitions. The incumbent will display effective planning and organizational skills, be results oriented, develop effective business relationships, and possess the ability to competently manage multiple priorities. The ideal candidate will display high business acumen and analytical thinking, and demonstrate proficiency with Microsoft Office (particularly Excel and PowerPoint). This position will have no direct reports at this time.This position will be responsible for developing and maintaining a wide array of financial models and reports in support of the finance and executive leadership teams, working with the Director FP&A and VP of Finance.Evaluate financial results by analyzing past results, performing variance analysis, identifying trends, and making recommendations for improvementsReport on company financial performance and preparing materials for regular leadership reviewsOwn budget and forecasting process for company, which includes collaboration with global finance and operation partnersProvide decision support to management through detailed, thoughtful analysis of financial information and reportsAssist FP&A Director, VP Finance and CFO on acquisitions, including due diligence, valuation and integrationSupport the Finance team on special projects, ad-hoc analyses and requests as neededRecommend and implement system/process improvements to enhance finance functionLimited travel may occasionally be required (<5%)Position would be required to go into the office for work sessions or meetings 3-4 times a year, either in Louisville, Pittsburgh or ChicagoHighly driven, self-motivated and willing to take initiativeStrong financial background and demonstrated ability to perform financial analyses and modelingAbility to manage ambiguity, "figure it out" and own a process through to completionMust be a team player capable of interacting with all levels of employees and senior managementStrong interpersonal skills and ability to convey information concisely in writing and verbally at an Executive levelWillingness to take the analysis to the next step – not just present the data, but interpret what it means and make recommendations linked to the business "big picture"Ability to understand and frame complex issues in a consolidated and straightforward manner.Ability to define problems, collect data from multiple sources, establish facts and draw valid conclusions.Effectively manage tasks and tight deadlines independentlyWorks independently with minimal supervisionExcellent computer skills – MS Excel, MS Word, MS PowerPoint, MS CopilotExperience with ERP financial software (i.e. SAP, MS D365)Experience with enterprise planning tools (i.e., Board International)Bachelors or better in Finance/ Accounting or in another quantitative field – MBA/CPA a plus4-6+ years of experience in a similar finance role
