Virtualization Engineer

Location: Jersey City, NJ (Need Local to New jersey candidate only) Term: Contract/Onsite Experience Required: 10+ Years Job Summary We are seeking a Senior Hypervisor Engineer with strong expertise in open-source development and virtualization technologies . The ideal candidate will design, implement, and optimize hypervisor solutions while building automation for enterprise virtualization environments. This role requires a combination of strong programming skills and system engineering expertise , particularly in virtualization platforms and container environments. Mandatory Skills Strong programming expertise in Java and Python Experience automating environments using Python and Java Hands‑on experience with virtualization platforms and infrastructure Experience with VRA environments and Red Hat OpenShift Strong system engineering and automation skills Ability to work with OpenShift Container Platform (OCP) environments Relevant technologies include: VMware vRealize Automation Red Hat OpenShift Key Responsibilities Develop and optimize hypervisor and virtualization‑related software Contribute to open‑source virtualization projects Debug, profile, and improve hypervisor performance, scalability, and security Build automation solutions for OCP and VRA environments using Python and Java Collaborate with software, hardware, and security teams Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and code reviews Stay updated with advancements in open‑source virtualization and hypervisor technologies Preferred Qualifications 10+ years of experience in open‑source software development Hands‑on experience with open‑source hypervisors Background in infrastructure engineering with strong coding ability Prior experience working in product companies such as: #J-18808-Ljbffr
