This position will remain open until filled.San Luis Valley is seeking full-time, part-time, and PRN CNA's to join our Conejos County Hospital team. Under supervision this position will complete routine duties in caring for hospitalized patients. Duties may vary depending on assigned area.Successful candidate will possess the following qualifications and skills:High School Diploma or GEDCurrent Colorado CNA licenseCurrent Basic Life Support certificationAbility to communicate effectively, presenting information and responding to questions from patients, other staff members and groups of managersAbility to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situationsAbility to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to move quickly and efficiently among various tasksResponsibilities include (but are not limited to):Answering call lightsDirect care of patients including bathing and oral hygieneServicing and collecting food trays and feeding patients requiring help.Assisting in ambulation of patients including turning and re-positioning patientsChanging bed linensTaking and recording patients vital signs; pulse, temperature, respiration rate, and blood pressureRecording fluid intake and outtake as directedCleaning equipment and re-stocking suppliesProviding age appropriate care through proper trainingWe Take Care of Our PeopleAs the largest employer in the San Luis Valley, we commit to providing our employees with quality and affordable benefits to complement a fulfilling work experience and help balance life experiences and needs.
