And it’s your chance to really shine and contribute to one of the world’s most recognized brands and a beacon for engineering excellence.Position SummaryAs the T56/Helicopter Programs Lifecycle Engineer, you will be responsible for providing customer support and executing investigations into in-service events for the T56, M250, RR300 and CTS800 engines. This includes collecting and analyzing data and event descriptions provided by field service reps and operators.With this attractive opportunity you will coordinate efforts of design, performance, controls, and metallurgical engineers, determine root cause and corrective action, and providing technical information to program management, field service reps, operators, and OEMs. You will also be responsible for completing the Red Top process, assisting Air Safety Investigation as needed during initial investigation, coordinating numerical risk assessment, identifying containment actions, determining root cause, and drafting closure documents. You will support publication of Commercial Bulletins, support Technical Variances (TVs) and Technical Queries (TQs), and identifying service-related product improvements. Reports to: Technical Lead – Lifecycle and Safety for T56/Helicopters.What you will be doingLead investigations into and identify root cause and corrective action for in-service eventsLead Red Top closure process for specific engine investigationsLead internal activities to resolve operator or Field Service Representative (FS) technical inquiriesDefine and implement containment programs and corrective actions necessary to maintain continued safe operation of the productInitiate Service Bulletins or Manual release/updates to support operators, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs), and Authorized Maintenance Centers (AMCs)Support Technical Variance (TV) and Technical Query (TQ) requests from operators/customersProactively support improving engine and component reliability utilizing maintenance data from FAST (AMC and on-wing LRU removal data) and trend monitoringCommunicate the status of service issue investigations via technical briefings both internally and to OEM customers, operators, and airworthiness authoritiesBasic Requirements:Associate’s degree in engineering with 3+ years of experience, ORBachelor’s degree in engineering with 1+ years of experience, ORMaster’s degree in engineering, ORJD/PhDTo be considered for this position you must be a US citizen or Permanent ResidentPreferred Requirements:Experience with field service or design engineering1+ years of experience in lifecycle engineeringExperience interfacing with customers on technical program issuesGas turbine engine installation, verification, and performance experienceOur vision is to ensure that the quality and dynamism that shaped our history continues into our future.
