Travel Nurse Job Details

• Weekly Estimated Pay: $2,020–$2,130
• Location: Mayfield Heights, Ohio, in the Cleveland area
• Healthcare Setting: Inpatient Med/Surg Telemetry unit
• Start Date: November 13, 2026
• Contract End Date: February 12, 2027
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Schedule: 3 shifts per week, 36 hours per week
• Shift: 12-hour day shifts, approximately 7:00 a.m.–7:30 p.m.
• Orientation: 16 hours
• Position Type: Travel Registered Nurse contract; local candidates may be considered

Med/Surg Telemetry RN Job Requirements

• At least 1 year of recent permanent Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse experience
• Active Registered Nurse license in Ohio or an active compact-state license in hand at the time of submission
• Current American Heart Association BLS and ACLS certifications
• Current NIHSS certification
• All required licenses and certifications must be active and available; pending credentials are not accepted
• One professional reference from a manager, assistant nurse manager, supervisor, or director in the specialty, completed within the past 12 months
• Ability to complete required background screening, drug screening, onboarding education, and competency assessments
• Successful completion of ECG rhythm recognition and medication-safety assessments during orientation
• Any requested time off should be disclosed during the application process

Med/Surg Telemetry Registered Nurse Responsibilities

• Provide safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients on an inpatient medical-surgical telemetry unit
• Monitor cardiac rhythms, identify changes in patient condition, and communicate concerns promptly
• Administer medications and treatments in accordance with orders, hospital policies, and professional standards
• Complete comprehensive patient assessments, care planning, clinical documentation, and ongoing evaluations
• Collaborate with providers and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to coordinate patient care and discharge planning
• Educate patients and families about diagnoses, treatments, medications, and transition-of-care needs
• Support a respectful, patient-centered environment while maintaining high standards for patient safety and quality
