Sr. Instructional Designer

As a Sr. Instructional Designer, you will apply your expertise in instructional design, adult learning theory, and content development to create innovative learning solutions that support ADP associates and clients. Using agile design methodologies and ADP learning standards, you will design and develop engaging learning experiences that build knowledge, improve performance, and drive business results. No two days are the same. You will partner with subject matter experts, business leaders, and stakeholders to conduct needs assessments across multiple business lines, create design documents, establish training plans, develop and deploy learning content, oversee translation efforts, and measure learning effectiveness. You will create solutions to the highest standards while applying innovative instructional design techniques that appeal to today's learners and support the needs of a diverse and multi-generational workforce. Working across the learning organization, you’ll design and develop learning solutions in a variety of modalities, including eLearning, instructor-led training, blended learning, job aids, and performance support materials. You will create compelling content and effectively convey ideas, recommendations, and information to audiences at all levels of the organization. In addition, you will serve as a mentor to other learning professionals, helping elevate team capability and drive adoption of learning design best practices. Innovation: You will seek opportunities to apply innovative design thinking to your projects and will work to keep ADP's approach to designing learning up to date with the products and solutions ADP offers its clients. Flexibility and Agility: You can adapt to changing business requirements, projects, and resources and use agile approaches to meeting business needs. Design: You'll design holistic solutions engaging team members and business partners in the design process to ensure the solution design is flexible and addresses the unique needs of the learners. Solution design should consider and factor in how the work environment impacts learning. Development: You can develop solutions across a broad set of learning modalities and tools without creating redundant solutions and ensure that continuous learning and performance support concepts are applied. Learning Outcomes: You measure your outcomes and ensure your learning solutions result in the intended business impact. You oversee the roll-out of instructor-led solutions to ensure they align with the solution design. Continuous Learner: You have a focus on personal development to develop and elevate professional knowledge and skill. You take the same approach to business process improvement to improve ADP learning design standards and drive the adoption of those standards. You maintain an outside-in perspective by building and maintaining peer networks inside and outside ADP. Mentor: You'll be a mentor to Instructional Designers to help develop their skills and elevate their performance. Experience. You have 5-8 years of experience in relevant skills gained and developed in the same or similar role, including 5+ years of experience in instructional development, adult learning theory, and/or technical writing. TO SUCCEED IN THIS ROLE: Experience designing and developing learning solutions across multiple modalities, including eLearning, instructor-led training, blended learning, job aids, and performance support materials. Advanced experience using eLearning development tools such as Articulate 360, Adobe Captivate, TechSmith Camtasia, TechSmith SnagIt, Audacity, and Vyond, with the technical aptitude to quickly learn new development tools. Experience conducting learning needs assessments and partnering with subject matter experts and business stakeholders to develop learning solutions. Experience measuring learning effectiveness and using data to drive continuous improvement. Experience using a Learning Management System (i.e., Litmos). Experience managing multiple projects and competing deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Familiarity with AI tools and the ability to leverage them appropriately within the learning design process. Experience with basic graphic design.Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of an organization.
