(USA) Coach/Ops Mgr Trainee

Position Summary Leads and develops teams effectively by teaching, training, and actively listening to associates touring stores, providing feedback, and communicating store operations with all levels of associates using technology and business initiatives. Responsibilities Models and demonstrates exceptional customer service standards by following the One Best Way Service model, managing customer service initiatives, resolving customer needs and complaints, and implementing action plans for process improvement. Drives financial performance and sales by reviewing profit‑loss statements, managing budgets, forecasting, controlling expenses, ensuring effective merchandise presentation, seasonal transitions, inventory flow, and implementing shrink mitigation plans. Provides supervision and development opportunities for hourly associates by hiring, training, mentoring, assigning duties, setting clear expectations, recognizing achievements, promoting a sense of belonging, and recruiting qualified associates to meet staffing needs. Coordinates and oversees job‑related activities by building relationships with key stakeholders, supporting customer and business initiatives, setting goals, measuring progress, identifying improvement opportunities, and fostering continuous learning. Ensures compliance with company policies, supports company values and ethics, and applies the Open Door Policy in all business processes. Promotes respect for individuals, builds diverse high‑performing teams, creates inclusive workplace culture, embraces differences, and provides opportunities for associates to thrive. Minimum Qualifications 2 years of college; OR 1 year of retail experience and 1 year of supervisory experience; OR 2 years of general work experience and 1 year of supervisory experience. For facilities that sell firearms: successful completion of a firearms‑specific Criminal Background Check (CBC) and Firearms Authorized Training. For facilities that sell only ammunition: a current state‑issued Certificate of Eligibility may be required. Associates must attend and complete all required job trainings and assessments (e.g., Academy trainings, Open Door trainings). Preferred Qualifications Bachelor of Science in Business Management and Leadership through Live Better U and Bellevue University. General work experience supervising 5 or more direct reports, including performance management, mentoring, hiring, and firing responsibilities.
