Job Title: Mammography Technician
Location: New York, NY
Type: Contract | 9 Weeks
Shift & Schedule: Day Shift | Monday–Friday | 37.5 Hours/Week | 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM or 9:00 AM – 5:00 PM

Position Overview:
Navitas Healthcare, LLC is seeking Mammography Technician for an exciting Travel or Local job in New York, NY.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures
• Ensure proper patient positioning, compression, and imaging techniques for high-quality studies
• Evaluate images for technical accuracy and diagnostic acceptability
• Ensure radiographic images are properly labeled and transmitted to PACS
• Complete studies accurately in IDX or equivalent tracking systems
• Maintain accurate patient tracking and documentation records
• Follow departmental SOPs and MQSA compliance standards
• Communicate effectively with radiologists and healthcare staff regarding imaging procedures
• Ensure patient comfort and provide clear explanations during procedures
• Maintain a safe, clean, and compliant imaging environment
• Adhere to radiation safety protocols and hospital guidelines

Requirements

• Active New York State License in Diagnostic Radiography required
• ARRT Certification required
• Must meet and maintain MQSA requirements
• Strong competency in mammography positioning, compression, and imaging techniques
• Strong attention to detail and patient care skills
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous breast imaging or mammography experience preferred
• Experience with PACS and IDX systems preferred
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
