Job Overview Terros Health is hiring a Ladder Peer Support Specialist at the Desert Cove Health Center located at 10844 N 23rd Ave Suite 200, Phoenix, AZ 85029. The position is full‑time, day shift, with up to 50% travel and works Monday‑Friday with flexible scheduling. The role reports to the Site Manager and supports the Life‑Affirming Dual Diagnosis Education and Recovery (LADDER) day program. Duties and Responsibilities Welcome and orient clients to the Terros Health Integrated clinic and the LADDER program. Establish therapeutic relationships with patients, serving as a mentor and role model to help them reach treatment goals. Plan and provide transportation for clients enrolled in the Terros Health LADDER Program. Plan and facilitate activities and groups, including community meetings, lunch activities, and peer‑led symptom‑management and recovery groups. Document services provided in accordance with agency guidelines and best practices. Participate in department and company morning meetings, staff meetings, and trainings as required. Engage clients in community outreach, introducing them to other service providers such as hospitals, recovery clinics, counseling, and employment services. Encourage involvement of clients’ natural support systems by facilitating interactions with family, school, work, and community. Develop and maintain positive community‑based relationships with healthcare partners to benefit patient coordination. Serve as a role model for recovery, promoting lived experience and strength‑based engagement for all patients served. Qualifications High School Diploma or GED and at least one year of experience in a behavioral health setting. At least one year of self‑identified and lived experience with substance use. Preferred: Arizona State Peer Certification; ability to obtain certification within 90 days. Required: CPR/First Aid certification within 60 days. Strong interpersonal skills, positive professional relationships, and non‑judgmental communication. Knowledge of recovery principles and ability to utilize personal experience to benefit others. Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Outlook, and electronic medical record experience; NextGen preferred. Pass Arizona Department of Child Safety Direct Service Central Registry Clearance. Valid Arizona driver’s license, 21 years of age, minimum three years of driving experience, and compliance with Terros Health’s driving policy. Valid Arizona Fingerprint Clearance card (Level 1) within seven working days of assuming the role. Pass a TB test.
