Employee Benefits Analyst

RSC Insurance Brokerage, Inc.

The Mid-Market Benefit Analyst assists in all aspects of day-to-day client management as directed by team members. The Benefit Analyst supports client teams in developing benefit strategies and meeting client goals and objectives and in selecting programs that best meet the client’s needs and financial requirements. Responsibilities Collect, analyze, and prepare information to facilitate client requests and support the activities of client teams under moderate supervision; ensure all client deliverables are accurate and peer‑reviewed. Support Consultants, Account Executives and Account Managers with assigned tasks such as Forms 5500, policy reviews, gathering monthly carrier reporting, and updating client information in software (e.g., BenefitPoint, AMS). Assist in the project management of all assigned clients. Attend client meetings and conference calls regularly with team members; maintain direct interaction with clients on day‑to‑day questions. Attend Consultant and Vendor meetings and participate in internal and external training. Manage project components (tasks) and be accountable for assigned work products and internal deadlines. Conduct research and produce financial analytics by collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data for client deliverables. Develop rate and financial spreadsheets. Execute client RFPs by compiling and analyzing RFP results and following up with insurance carriers. Review SPDs and contracts for technical accuracy. Research health and welfare compliance questions as needed, working with client teams and internal resources. Qualifications BA/BS preferred. 0–3+ years of health and welfare experience, meeting the majority of core practice competency‑based skills. Resourceful, proactive self‑starter with the ability to think ahead. Strong business acumen paired with intellectual curiosity. Commitment to professional growth and development, including training and mentoring. Excellent organizational skills, accuracy, and attention to detail. Capacity to multitask, manage competing priorities, and maintain strong time‑management skills. Develop critical thinking and analytical skills. Ability to express ideas clearly in both written and oral communications. Accept responsibility and accountability for assigned projects. Strong client‑service orientation and ability to respond to all communications effectively and timely. Ability to work at a fast pace, both independently and within a team. Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint. Lifes, Accident and Health Insurance license within the first 90 days of employment.
