Job Title: Associate Attorney
Location: Walnut Creek, CA
Compensation: $135k+ (based on relevant experience) + Signing Bonus

The Opportunity:

We are seeking an Associate Attorney with 3–5 years of experience to join our corporate real estate practice in our Walnut Creek office. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious attorney to grow their career in a dynamic and rapidly expanding firm.

As an Associate at BERDING|WEIL, you will work directly with clients, have a dedicated Partner who will mentor and support your professional development, and gain the tools you need to build a successful practice. We’re looking for a collaborative, adaptable, and driven attorney who thrives in a team environment and is eager to take on increasing responsibilities.

We value attorneys who are excellent communicators, possess a sharp analytical mind, and excel at organizing and prioritizing tasks. Experience in construction defects is a plus, but not required.

 

What We’re Looking For:

• 3–5 years of relevant legal experience (construction defect experience is a plus)
• Strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills
• Excellent verbal communication and interpersonal abilities
• Detail-oriented with a high standard of quality in all tasks
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment while maintaining a calm and professional demeanor
• A proactive, self-motivated attitude with a willingness to learn and grow
• California Bar membership in good standing
• Trial experience is a plus but not required
• Experience with community association law is a bonus
• Comfort with mediation, dispute resolution, and litigation, including depositions and discovery

Schedule:

Position is full-time, exempt. Our business hours are 8:30am-5:00pm Monday-Friday.

We currently offer a hybrid office/remote schedule.
