Location & Compensation Remote with 10% in‑person requirement for events, professional development, and occasional visits to the San Gabriel Valley, Los Angeles, and Pasadena areas. Must reside within 150 miles of a Southern California OFY/OFL school site. Pay Range: $2,807.70 – $4,038.47 bi‑weekly, depending on experience. Job is certificated. Responsibilities Identify and instruct English Learners and Standard English learners with language development support in reading, writing, speaking, and listening using varied teaching methods and materials. Manage a caseload of approximately 50–75 targeted students, providing weekly interventions, progress assessments, and action plans. Track enrollment and student progress monthly, create individualized academic plans, and submit reports to regional leadership. Prepare course outlines following curriculum guidelines and administer ELPAC tests to evaluate pupil progress and record results. Provide pull‑out and additional support to Long‑Term English Learners (LTELs) in Advanced Reader and Special Gifted Instruction (SGI) classes. Facilitate professional learning communities for Advanced Reader teachers, offering pedagogy and interventions grounded in theory. Conduct initial ELPAC assessments within 30 days of enrollment to develop Individualized Learning Plans that advance English proficiency efficiently. Qualifications Experience working with second‑language learners and in second‑language acquisition. Valid California clear or preliminary single‑subject teaching credential. English Learner Authorization (ELA1 or equivalent).
