Quick Facts:

• Location: Kingsport, TN (130 West Ravine Road)
• Start Date: 08/01/2026
• End Date: 07/29/2028
• Shift: 24-hour day shift (Monday 7:00 AM – Monday 7:00 AM) with night call
• Hours/Week: Approximately 40 hours/week, with call coverage
• Employment Type: Locum/Temporary to Permanent possible
• Licenses/Certs: TN Medical License or IMLC, ACLS/BLS, DEA (TN), Board Certified GI, ERCP experience required
• Experience: Well experienced in all General GI and ERCP procedures; minimum 2 years preferred

Pay & Benefits:

• Pay package: $4,290 per 24-hour shift ($550/hr for callback)

What You’ll Do:

• Provide specialized gastroenterology care for adult patients in a hospital setting
• Perform and assist with ERCP procedures and general GI cases
• Support on-site endoscopy and OR nurses during procedures
• Conduct consultations and assist with rounding as needed
• Participate in call rotation, including weekend and night shifts
• Maintain documentation in EPIC EMR system
• Support the department's endoscopy and surgical activities with flexibility around EUS procedures

What You Need:

• Board Certified in Gastroenterology (required)
• TN medical license or eligible via IMLC
• Active DEA license for Tennessee
• ACLS and BLS certifications
• Extensive experience with all General GI and ERCP procedures
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Flexibility to support variable schedule demands

About the Assignment:
This assignment involves working at a reputable community hospital serving adult patients, with opportunities to support endoscopy and surgical teams in a busy setting. The gastroenterology department emphasizes quality care and procedural excellence, utilizing Olympus equipment and EPIC electronic records. You will have dedicated endoscopy time, with opportunities to assist with complex procedures such as EUS as scheduling allows.
