As an entry-level Staff Accountant I, you will play a foundational role in ensuring the financial accuracy and integrity of the company’s accounts. The TL;DR Role: Early Career Type: Full-time Mission: Own assuring that business-owned accounts are fairly and accurately represented on company financial statements. Tech Stack: MS Office Suite, Excel, GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley What You’ll Actually Do Financial Performance Analysis: Assist with collecting, analyzing, and reporting financial and statistical data to review the organization’s overall financial performance. Financial Record Maintenance: Maintain detailed records of the organization’s financial activity in accordance with GAAP, internal organizational standards, and regulatory requirements such as Sarbanes-Oxley. Expense Management Support: Collaborate with various departments to assist in their expense management strategies and procedures, including analyzing trends and supporting the preparation of operating budgets. Cost Data Examination: Examine and review unusual cost records to ensure that cost data is correctly allocated across the organization. Automated Reporting Development: Create and utilize automated tools for the updating, analyzing, and reporting of consolidated financial results, and support the preparation of standard financial performance reports. The Must-Haves Background: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or another business-related field. This is an entry-level accountant position. Experience: 0 to 2 years of relevant experience in Finance or Accounting is preferred, alongside proficiency in MS Office Suite and Excel.
