Document Control And Project Controls Specialist

With our historic growth, it is an exciting time to join our team of employee-owners. This opportunity entails document control and project controls for engineering and construction projects. It is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing document control systems, standards, and workflows to support the full lifecycle of project records ensuring accuracy, compliance, accessibility, and effective information flow across project teams. The position administers document control platforms and processes, including submittals, RFIs, change orders, and other contractor/design-builder documentation, while ensuring alignment with contract requirements and organizational standards. It also plays a key role in contract administration activities, including supporting change order development, validating contractor payment applications, and maintaining accurate financial and project records within project systems. In addition, this role monitors project budgets, expenditures, and forecasts; produces reporting and analysis to support project and business leadership; and ensures compliance with regulatory, client, and company requirements, including DBE participation and documentation standards.

What You'll Do:

• Analyzes bid and design documents to perform quantity takeoffs to support labor, equipment, and material cost development.
• Estimates labor, material and equipment costs of construction based on design drawings and specifications.
• Collects construction cost data from functional representatives, subcontractors, and vendors.
• Gathers and utilizes industry data/publications for estimating purposes.
• Uses estimating software to support the development of cost estimates with guidance from lead/senior estimators.
• Creates cost models for cost estimating elements.
• Supports the preparation of independent cost estimates as part of change management, claims analysis, and price negotiations.

What You'll Need:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field, or
• In lieu of education, 4 years relevant experience with the development of cost estimates

What We Prefer:

• College coursework or equivalent technical coursework in design drawings and specifications reading, quantity take offs and cost estimating fundamentals

The approximate pay range for the Greater Seattle, WA Metro Area is $79,688.15 - $119,532.23. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Actual compensation will be dependent on factors, including but not limited to, the individual's qualifications, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities as well as physical work location within the state.
