Job Title: Ultrasound Technologist
Location: New York, NY
Shift: 09:00 AM - 05:30 PM
Schedule: 5x8 Hours
Weekly Hours: 36
Duration: 13 Weeks

Job Description:
The Ultrasound Technologist performs or assists in ultrasound examinations, provides technical assistance to the Radiologist, and maintains ultrasound equipment. Responsibilities include preparing patients for procedures, operating ultrasound systems, capturing and transferring images to PACS, scheduling examinations, and assisting with department workflow.

Responsibilities/Duties:

• Perform ultrasound examinations in accordance with departmental procedures
• Operate and maintain ultrasound equipment safely and effectively
• Capture and transfer images to PACS and physician workstations
• Assist Radiologists during procedures as needed
• Ensure adequate supplies and proper equipment functionality
• Schedule examinations and coordinate patient transportation when required
• Assist with orientation and mentoring of new ultrasound personnel
• Maintain accurate documentation and communication within the department

Requirements:

• ARRT certification required
• Registered by ARDMS required
• Minimum 2 years of Ultrasound Technologist experience required
• Experience with Exact VU Ultrasound System required
• Experience performing prostate sonography required
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and computer systems
