This role includes oversight of food preparation and setup of the stations on the Expo Line; maintaining the highest quality of cleanliness, safety, and sanitary work environment; quick and efficient preparation of menu items; ability and willingness to work as a team; and an eye for detail and quality.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesThe essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:Reading orders and assisting in preparation of foodPreparing plate presentationsEnsuring food product is created in a consistent manner and within the applicable timeframeWashing, trimming, cutting, and preparing foods for cooking and garnishingMaintaining sanitation, health, and safety standards in work areasMeasuring ingredients as required for specific food items being preparedVerifying that prepared food meets quality and quantity requirementsCommunicating and coordinating with kitchen crew and management to ensure accurate plating, timing and delivery of food to guestsMinimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, And Abilities)• 1-year restaurant and cash handling experience preferred• Ability to handle stress under pressure and in fast-paced situations• Work well with others and collaborate as a member of a team• Basic math and calculation skills• Positive attitude• Understanding of food safety and sanitation rules• Current food handling certifications as required by state and local lawsPhysical Demands And Work EnvironmentThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this position.
