FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER (FULL TIME AND PART TIME)

Overview We are hiring immediately for full time and part time FOOD SERVICE WORKER/CASHIER positions. Location: Triton Central High School - 4920 West 600 North, Fairland, IN 46126. Online applications accepted only. Schedule: Full time and part time schedules; Monday through Friday, 8:30 am to 2:30 pm. More details upon interview. Pay Range: $13.50 per hour to $14.00 per hour. Perks include no nights, no weekends, and no holidays. Internal Employee Referral Bonus Available. Responsibilities Performs cashiering duties and general food service work. Maintains sanitation standards in the preparation, service and dining room facilities. Performs prep work such as washing, peeling, cutting and seeding fruits and vegetables. Weighs and measures designated ingredients. Carries pans, kettles and trays of food to and from work stations in accordance with safety standards. Distributes supplies, utensils and portable equipment. Stores foods in designated areas with proper wrapping, dating and rotation procedures. Cleans work areas, equipment and utensils; ensures compliance with sanitation and safety requirements. Uses approved recipes and production standards to ensure proper quality, serving temperatures and standard portion control. Serves customers in a friendly, efficient manner and follows standard steps of service. Interacts with customers and resolves complaints in a friendly, service-oriented manner. Relays relevant information to the supervisor and performs sales transactions at the cash register, including entering sales and issuing receipts. Performs cash handling duties, makes change, and processes payments; follows procedures for refunds. Maintains responsibility for assigned cash funds and ensures cash drawer accuracy. Replenishes condiments, beverages and general supplies while maintaining service area cleanliness. Performs other duties as assigned. Qualifications Prerequisite: Prior kitchen experience is preferred.
