Migrant Recruiter

Mississippi State University is hiring a Migrant Recruiter to identify and recruit migrant workers and their families for the Migrant Education Program. The role involves extensive travel to farms, schools, and homes to assess educational needs, conduct interviews, and coordinate with various service providers and community partners. Highlights Locate and recruit migrant workers and their families for education services. Conduct family interviews, collect data, and determine eligibility for the Migrant Education Program. Extensive travel to farms, schools, and migrant housing to engage with children, parents, farmers, and school staff. Work closely with service providers, school districts, and community agencies to support migrant families. Maintain detailed records and manage Certificate of Eligibility (COE) documentation. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; must be bilingual in English and Spanish. Valid driver’s license and ability to travel extensively required. Experience with migrant and minority populations and working with students, parents, teachers, and farmers preferred. Familiarity with state agencies and services for migratory families valued.
