Job Description
Registered Nurse (RN)

We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to deliver coordinated nursing care for a patient or an assigned group of patients in an acute care setting. This role is responsible for supervising and directing the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff, while utilizing critical thinking and independent judgment to ensure high-quality patient care.

Job Summary

The Registered Nurse will be committed to implementing established standards of care and the nursing process. The position requires collaboration with a multidisciplinary team to provide a safe, healing, and humane environment for patients and their families.

Essential Functions

• Collect and analyze relevant health data pertinent to patient situations.
• Develop and implement care plans that prescribe interventions to achieve desired outcomes.
• Evaluate patient progress towards attaining health outcomes.
• Collaborate with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Provide education and resources to patients and family members.
• Participate actively in discharge planning to maintain continuity of care.
• Delegate responsibilities appropriately and coordinate the duties of healthcare team members.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred.
• Acute care facility experience is preferred.
• Current Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice is required.
• Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from an approved vendor is required.
• At least two years of recent experience in the nursing field is required.

Organizational Requirements

All associates must receive required vaccinations as a condition of employment and annually thereafter, where applicable. Medical and religious exemptions may apply.

This position involves a day shift and requires experience with electronic health record systems such as EPIC. The role is within an outpatient procedure unit and candidates with background in perioperative, post-anesthesia care unit (PACU), or endoscopy are encouraged to apply.
