Must-Have:

• 2 years of experience in sterile processing
• Ability to float between units as needed
• Willingness to be on-call for rotating weekends, holidays, and shifts

Description:

Workdays will be Saturday through Wednesday. The technician will inspect, test, clean, decontaminate, and sterilize reusable medical and surgical equipment, supplies, and instrumentation. This includes ensuring that all parts have been returned and are operable. The technician will select appropriate cleaning agents and sterilization processes. Identification and assembly of medical and surgical instrumentation and supplies will be done using count sheets. Packaging will be completed according to the sterilization technique being utilized. Preferred experience includes working with robotics and specific sterile processing equipment. Daily tasks may involve using various sterilization and decontamination equipment for flexible endoscope reprocessing. All travelers are expected to float between all facilities within the state. Refusal to float may result in termination of assignment. Compliance with all required documentation and references is necessary prior to the start of the assignment. Providers must be able to work a minimum of three holidays throughout the contract duration.
