APRN/PA-C - Emergency Medicine

Summary The Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant and Advanced Practice Registered Nurse provide urgent and emergent medical care services to patients throughout the lifespan. Functions in emergency department and urgent care settings of Concord Hospital as well as the clinical decision unit. Patient care is provided under the supervision of a CHMG physician for the Physician Assistant, and in collaboration with a CHMG physician for the Advanced Practice Registered Nurse. Education & Certification Completion of Master's degree in Advanced Practice Nursing or Physician Assistant. Licensure required: NH License as APRN or Physician Assistant . Current DEA License . Provider experience required, inpatient preferred. Responsibilities Obtains patient health history and performs physical examination. Diagnoses acute and chronic medical problems within scope of practice. Practices respectful and responsive relationships and provides services that are delivered in a professional, compassionate manner. Maintains effective interpersonal and communication skills. Appropriately uses systems and processes to effectuate care and services. Competently performs medical and surgical procedures. Physical & Work Environment The physical demands and characteristics of the work environment include regular lifting, carrying, or pushing/pulling of less than 10 pounds, occasional lifting up to 10 pounds, frequent hearing, walking, speaking, occasional standing, and near vision.
