The Ohioan Hotel and Event Center (Formally Nationwide Hotel and Conference Center) located in Lewis Center, Ohio is searching for a Houseperson/Public Space Attendant to join our team!

Job Summary:

Performs housekeeping duties to accommodate guest needs, ensures cleanliness of public spaces as well as office areas, attends to linen needs, and prepares Housekeeping department for next business day.

 

Essential Functions:

1. Completes daily checklist
2. Accommodates guest/departmental needs/requests by responding to requests
3. Help other colleagues to accomplish shift/assigned job duties
4. Delivers guest laundry
5. Attends to lobby and public spaces to ensure cleanliness including public/employee restrooms and refuse
6. Attends to linen needs by preparing/sorting dirty laundry, stocking clean linens in closets, and organizing laundry area
7. Clean, organize, and stock all linen closets
8. Stock and organize housekeeping supply room, housekeeping supplies, and guest supplies
9. Attend to pool area to ensure towels are stocked and area is clean and organized
10. Acts as Room Attendant as needed
11. Provides support to Room Attendants as needed (delivers room items, linen and trash removal,)
12. Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the department

These physical demands represent the physical requirements necessary for an associate to successfully perform the essential functions of the position. Reasonable accommodation can be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the described essential functions of the position.

 

1. Ability to lift 25 pounds occasionally, climb ladder, stand and walk for extended periods of time
2. Ability to bend, squat, lift arms, push and pull

 

Qualifications, Education, Experience, Skills, and Abilities:

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Housekeeping experience preferred.
3. Great attention to details
4. Able to follow basic instructions
5. Communication Skills
