Recruiter

We’re looking for a Full Desk Recruiter who wants to own the full recruitment cycle, from winning the client to placing the candidate. You’ll build and run your own desk: generating new business, taking job briefs, sourcing and assessing talent, managing offers, and nurturing the relationships that bring repeat work. This is a role for someone who is as comfortable picking up the phone to a hiring manager as they are to a passive candidate.

You’ll have real autonomy, a clear route to progression, and uncapped earning potential tied directly to your results.

Responsibilities

Business Development

• Identify and target prospective clients through cold outreach, networking, LinkedIn, referrals and market mapping
• Book and run introductory meetings, then convert prospects into signed terms of business
• Develop existing accounts by understanding client hiring plans, growing share of wallet and securing exclusive or retained mandates
• Take detailed job briefs, advise clients on market conditions, salary benchmarks and hiring strategy
• Negotiate fees and terms confidently, and protect margin
• Maintain accurate pipeline and account activity in our ATS

Candidate Management

• Source candidates through job boards, LinkedIn, database searches, referrals and proactive headhunting
• Screen and interview candidates to assess skills, motivations, salary expectations and cultural fit
• Present shortlists with clear, compelling candidate write-ups
• Prepare candidates for interviews and manage feedback on both sides
• Manage the offer process: negotiate, handle counter offers and close
• Stay in touch post-placement to secure referrals and repeat business

Desk Management

• Balance live vacancies, candidate pipeline and new business activity daily
• Hit and exceed activity, pipeline and revenue targets
• Uphold compliance standards, including right-to-work checks, data protection and our terms and processes
• Share market insight with the wider team and contribute to a collaborative culture

Requirements

• Proven experience in agency recruitment, ideally 3+ years on a 360 or full-cycle desk, with demonstrable billings
• Must have prior experience recruiting for HR, IT, Accounting, Finance, Clinical, Scientific, or Engineering positions
• A track record of business development: winning new clients, not only servicing existing ones
• Resilience, drive and a hunter mindset, with comfort making high volumes of outbound calls
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, with credibility at both candidate and senior stakeholder level
• Good commercial judgment and the ability to prioritize across competing demands
• Excellent organization and attention to detail
• Experience with ATS systems
• An existing network of clients or candidates
