Full-Time Assistant Manager

Role Summary Cinemark Assistant Managers support the overall operation of the theatre, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and operational standards met. They are cross‑trained in all departments, provide inspirational training to staff, and may advance to Senior Assistant Manager, Theatre Manager or General Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program and working a minimum of six months. Responsibilities Follow the direction of the General Manager and support decision‑making. Work in all departments, performing all theatre job functions. Train and coach team members in their specific roles. Assist in preparing administrative and special reports for the General Manager. Observe and participate in inspections of the theatre building, parking lot, landscaping, property, roof, exterior signage, and equipment. Report necessary repairs to the General Manager. Enforce dress code and employee conduct guidelines. Interact with guests to improve service and ensure superior customer experience. Enforce Cinemark policies consistently and fairly. Report employee relations issues to the General Manager (or via the employee relations reporting protocol). All management members must follow this protocol. Sanitize employee and guest high‑contact areas and properly use personal protective equipment. Adapt to changing cleaning tasks and address safety or security issues such as trip hazards or suspicious persons. Perform other work‑related duties as assigned. Requirements Minimum age 18 years. High School diploma or G.E.D. preferred. Completion of three basic courses (Management Foundations, Annual Certifications, and MAP Core) within Cinemark’s Management Accreditation Program. Completion of basic food handling training and any required local or state certifications, health card, or food‑handlers permit. Safe Alcohol Service training for managers working with alcohol. Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays. Regular attendance, energetic and friendly attitude, and excellent guest service skills. Accurate cash handling and basic math skills. Strong interpersonal and communication skills; must converse and comprehend English effectively. Ability to work independently and in a team, follow direction, and respond with a sense of urgency. Time‑management, organizational skills, and attention to detail. Ability to train and lead others and resolve conflict. Physical & Environmental Requirements Frequent bending, kneeling, and lifting up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, and reaching around the theatre. Moderate to high noise levels. Extended periods of standing and extended duty shifts.
