MEP Project Manager

MEP Project Manager Manage multiple commercial and/or industrial process projects from kickoff through closeout, ensuring safety, quality, schedule adherence, and cost control. Serve as the primary client contact, building strong relationships through proactive communication and effective problem-solving. Responsibilities Translate project scope, schedules, and technical requirements into clear direction for field leadership and subcontractors. Develop and manage project financials, including scopes of work, schedules of values, labor budgets, productivity KPIs, and cost tracking. Coordinate procurement and equipment planning to align materials, labor, and schedules. Participate in monthly financial forecasting and project reviews, identifying risks and opportunities early. Support and mentor project engineers and project staff, fostering accountability and team development. Identify and mitigate project risks, resolving technical, schedule, or cost challenges as they arise. Maintain accurate project documentation in accordance with company standards, contract requirements, and regulatory obligations. Uphold safety and quality standards on every project and jobsite. Essential Skills Minimum 4-5 years of experience in project management, HVAC, piping design, plumbing, and budgeting. Hands‑on engineering experience. Technical knowledge of HVAC sheet metal, hydronic piping, refrigerant piping, and equipment. BS in Engineering or Construction Management, or relevant experience. Proficiency in Microsoft Office; project/accounting software is a plus. Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills. Proven leadership abilities. Strong client relations skills. Ability to work in remote field offices. Ability to manage multiple projects. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience with large infrastructure projects is a plus. Experience in commercial construction. Proficiency in Microsoft Project. Proficiency in Autodesk. Familiarity with Coins ERP - Emcor. Work Environment The position is onsite in San Jose. The role involves working closely with project teams and requires the ability to operate in a dynamic and fast‑paced environment. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of San Jose, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $130,000.00 - $150,000.00/yr.
