Maintenance Planner

Job Description As the Maintenance Planner at Cornerstone Building Brands, you will be responsible for improving the maintenance workforce productivity and quality by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of maintenance resources, parts, materials, and equipment access. Prepare reports for management. Tracks and monitors cost and identify variance to budgeted plans. Work with Cornerstone’s Core Values in mind: Safety, Integrity, Innovation and Teamwork. Responsibilities Comprehensive planning including but not limited to: Researching Scoping of work Estimating material and labor (internal and external) job requirements Developing task instructions Identifying tool and equipment requirements Developing job material list PM and Standard Job Plan Development. MRO Supply Chain Coordination. Stock management including determining items to stock and QOH Creation of purchase requisitions for planned work Creation of stock reservations for planned work Pick Ticket creation for planned work Assist Storeroom function in the kitting and staging of job material requirements Coordinating with operations, purchasing, storeroom, maintenance personnel and maintenance management. Manage rebuilding parts program. Manage reporting metrics including PM analysis, Break down analysis, and labor utilization analysis. Active participation in maintenance and repair budget forecasting and budget tracking. Maintain a solid understanding of customer expectations and deliverables with an awareness of the impact of failure/cost of poor quality. Supervise the work order system designed to establish priority and control over maintenance request from plant personnel. Ensures that work order requests are completed by the assigned deadline. Participate with reliability teams on improvement projects particularly associated with Proactive Maintenance Plans (PM/PdM). Work cross functionally and collaboratively in a wide range of activities. Utilize maintenance strategies to eliminate failures. Strong oral and written communication skills. Demonstrates the ability for independent decision-making. Must be flexible and responsive to the business needs. All other duties, as assigned. Qualifications Associates Degree in related field preferred or equivalent experience. 5+ years of experience in maintenance planning, scheduling and technical operations. Knowledgeable in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and CMMS. Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) experience a plus, but not a requirement. Strong Electrical/Mechanical aptitude. Effective communication and people management skills. Physical Demands While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to walk and sit; use fingers and hands to handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop and kneel; talk and hear; bending at waist. The employee is frequently required to stand on hard surfaces for long periods, as well as occasionally be required to climb or balance. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Lift and move materials and equipment weighing up to 90 pounds and heavier weights with the use of proper equipment and assistance. Subject to fluctuating temperatures within the work facility, as impacted by the weather. Work Environment Cornerstone is committed to ensuring the health and safety of their workforce. This position will be required to work near powered industrial trucks, equipment and near moving mechanical parts.
