Collections Specialist

We are looking for a Collections Specialist to support receivables management for an assigned account portfolio in San Diego, California. This Long-term Contract opportunity is ideal for someone who can communicate professionally, stay organized in a high-volume setting, and adjust quickly when priorities change. The person in this role will help reduce outstanding balances through timely follow-up, accurate records, and effective coordination with customers and internal teams.Responsibilities:• Manage a designated accounts receivable portfolio and drive timely payment resolution through consistent follow-up and structured collection efforts.• Handle incoming customer inquiries and conduct outbound outreach to discuss past-due balances, payment expectations, and account status.• Maintain clear, accurate records of collection activity, customer communications, and next steps in the appropriate systems.• Review customer agreements and supporting documentation when needed to clarify billing terms or resolve disputes.• Apply established procedures for placing delinquent accounts on support hold or moving them toward cancellation when required.• Contribute to additional assignments and priority projects as business needs shift.• Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while balancing routine collection tasks with urgent requests.
