We shine the brightest when we raise our hands and rise to the challenge of changing lives through education, cultivating bright curious minds, achieving award-winning results, upholding our values, and engaging positively with our students, parents and communities.POSITION OVERVIEW Providing assistance to teachers, students, and administrative staff to ensure a smooth and efficient operation of daily activities within the school setting.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS ● The Aide will work under the direct supervision of the principal to provide support as needed on the campus. ● Assists in duties such as making copies, delivering materials, and other projects, as needed. ● Assists with the supervision of students during emergency drills, assemblies, play periods, lunch periods and field trips. ● Assist in the drop-off and pick-up of children through Driveline, possibly during inclement weather. How Driveline Operates at LTS (video) ● Maintains the same high level of ethical behavior and confidentiality of information about students as is expected of fully licensed teachers. How Driveline Works at LTS. ● Alerts the regular teacher to any problem or special information about an individual student. ● May assist staff and students in use of educational computer programs. ● Performs other related duties as required by the supervisor which do not require any professional skills. ● May periodically work with individual students or small groups of students to reinforce learning of material or skills initially introduced by the teacher.COMPETENCIES ● Ability to positively interact with all students. ● Ability to positively and professionally interact with parents. ● Create a safe learning environment that is conducive to learning. ● Ability to identify individual student needs. ● Good communication skills with students, coworkers, administration and parents. ● Ability to collaborate with school staff. ● Ability to maintain a professional appearance. ● Ability to plan and manage multiple tasks in a timely manner. ● Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.REQUIREMENTS ● High School Diploma/GED required.BACKGROUND CHECKS The incumbent in this position will be required to pass a criminal history background check. ●Arizona Employees: Arizona Department of Public Safety Level One IVP Fingerprint Clearance Card●Nevada Employees: NV Fingerprint Background Check●Texas Employees: TX Fingerprint Background CheckWORK ENVIRONMENT AND PHYSICAL DEMANDS ● The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. ● Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform essential functions.
