Job Description
Title: Registered Nurse - Long-term Care

Requirements:
- NY RN license required in hand
- Minimum 1 year RN experience
- Previous charge experience required
- Travel RN experience required
- EPIC charting experience required
- BLS certification required
- LTC-focused skills: dementia care, end-of-life/palliative care, pressure ulcer prevention/staging, incontinence management
- Medical/surgical skills: IV start/maintenance, IV/IM/SQ medication administration, venipuncture, Foley and suprapubic catheter care
- Advanced care skills: tracheostomy care, feeding tube/G-tube/PEG care, wound care including VAC, ostomy care
- Assessment & monitoring skills: neuro, respiratory (lung sounds, BiPAP/CPAP), vital signs, pulse oximetry, glucose monitoring, lab interpretation
- Other skills: medication administration (insulin, anticoagulation), infection control, patient/family teaching, lift/transfer devices

Roles & Responsibilities:
- Provide holistic patient care in a long-term care setting
- Monitor and assess patient health conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to enhance patient outcomes
- Educate patients and families on care plans and health management strategies
- Ensure compliance with hygiene and safety protocols

Compliance / Notes:
- Candidates must not have more than 10 days of requested time off
- Background checks will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis
- Orientation modules must be completed pre-start and may be billable up to 10 hours in total
